Therapy is an invaluable investment that can benefit you for a lifetime. Mental health and wellness should not be treated any differently than physical healthcare and some may argue it’s even more important. At the very least, mind, body and soul should be treated with the same respect to guarantee a good quality of life.
Insurances I am in network with: Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Magellan Health Services
Documentation will be submitted to your insurance company at no additional cost. Most insurance plans have a deductible and/or session co-payment that is your responsibility. You will also be responsible for any fees not covered or not paid or denied by your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to determine your benefits and authorization requirements.
Every effort will be made to verify coverage and identify financial liability (such as deductibles, co-pays, etc.) prior to your first appointment. It is ultimately the client’s responsibility to know his/her coverage and resolve any non-payment issues directly with the insurance company.
Please note that benefits are an agreement between you and your insurance company. I cannot guarantee any insurance coverage or reimbursement.
If you would prefer to self-pay rather than use insurance, that is always an option. Please inquire about this option prior to your first appointment.
Out of Network
If I do not participate with your insurance, I am happy to accept payment and then submit claims as a courtesy for you to be reimbursed.
Please note that not all insurance companies provide out of network benefits. Please contact your plan directly to verify your plan coverage.
What you should ask the insurance company
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- Do I have out of network benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Initial Appointment: $175
Individual Counseling $140
I do offer a limited number of reduced fee spots for clients that cannot afford the cost of therapy.
All payments are due at the time of service via cash, check or major credit card.
Cancellations are accepted without charge up to 24 hours in advance. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment or you no show your appointment, you will be charged a $75 late cancellation/no show fee. Insurance benefits will not cover late cancel/no show charges.
