More About Jennifer Brady
I grew up in Anne Arundel County, MD and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from University of Maryland Baltimore County. I then went on to obtain my Master’s in Community Mental Health from McDaniel College.
I always knew that helping people heal would be my profession and I have done that in a variety of capacities over the years. I could bore you with the resume-like details, but that information is probably not what you’re looking for. You want to know why I think I can help YOU. For me, helping is ingrained in me. It is who I am at my deepest core.
Even that is not enough, though. DNA aside, I am passionate about this work because I have been there. I have been curled up on a bathroom floor not knowing which way to turn. I have sat across from a counselor blind with fear, crushed from the inside out with my life seemingly falling apart. I have lost myself for the sake of an unhealthy relationship. I’ve been broken. I’ve felt alone. I’ve felt like there was no light at the end of the tunnel.
I’m here to tell you that it can be done. I am living proof that you don’t have to stay where you are. You are not limited to your circumstances. You can make changes to create the life you want. Personal growth is not a destination. It is something that we make a decision to do each and every day. Every hardship, every heartbreak, every dark moment is preparing you for something greater. I know it may not seem like that now, but I promise, it can get better.
The focus of Brady Mental Health & Wellness is women’s issues. I am particularly interested in and studying perinatal mental health and also plan to become a certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider.
When I’m not working with clients, I spend my time with my husband and two children. We love to camp and be outside, we recently started hiking and are exploring new things as the kids get older. Motherhood, while very rewarding at times, is also the most trying, patience testing, difficult thing I have ever done in my life. So when I say “I can relate”, trust me, I mean it.
Aside from my family, I work on myself…a lot. From self help books, to meditation, to finding balance, to listening to podcasts and journaling, I’m forever trying to improve myself as a person, as mother and a wife, as a healer and as a human. I am also a consultant for Arbonne after doing their 30 Days to Healthy Living Challenge in the summer of 2018. Arbonne has truly changed my life from the inside out!
The mission of my practice is to provide my clients with high quality, individualized care to help them achieve their life goals, to provide education, support and tools needed to achieve the life desires of each and every client.
